Default How to create a business plan?

How to start creating a business plan for a given project? Any references or good sites in this direction will be helpful. Do not want to hire a consulting firm but want to learn at home.

As a consultant, I help others develop that plan based on what they want. Email me if you'd like further assistance on creating the best business plan for your needs.

I have had to do business plans before and found that there is software you purchase (Office Max, etc) that can help you with that. It will provide templates and some content for how your plan should look when you present to investors. I also took a business plan writing class at local college and that was EXTREMELY helpful as they are usually taught by seasoned entrepreneurs. Try that, it is a less expensive option than hiring a firm. And if you ask most successful entrepreneurs, they would probably advise against hiring consultants.
